Herbert Benjamin Stroup 

              Coast Guard Auxiliary members from the Eleventh Coast Guard District Northern Region that have been a member for a while will probably remember Herb Stroup.   Herb was a very active member and heavily involved in the Boat Crew program when it first started.

            Herb retired from the Coast Guard Auxiliary after many years of service and he and his wife Mae lived in Fortuna, California.

              Herb passed away on June 19th 2001 at San Leandro, California and services were held on June 29th at the Goble’s Chapel Mortuary in Fortuna, with many friends and members of the Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary attending. 

            MAY HE HAVE FAIR WINDS AND FOLLOWING SEAS
