All members, as a condition of membership, must accept the following code of ethical conduct and agree to conduct themselves accordingly:

A) Render courteous assistance to the public at all times;
B) Project a favorable image of law enforcement and protective authority through alertness, appearance and competent performance of duty;
C) Maintain a professional and controlled demeanor when confronted by a belligerent person;
D) Refrain from verbally or physically abusing members of the general public by displaying an arrogant, bullying demeanor or misusing authority or weapons;
E) Refrain from misrepresenting ones authority or official position;
F) Refrain from making unfounded oral or written statements that would adversely affect the professional or personal reputation of a peer; and
G) Refrain from violating any statute or local ordinance.
