Philanthropy is defined as "Works of charitable aid intended to increase the well-bring of humanity". We as law enforcement officers have dedicated our lives to the service of humanity by striving to maintain a safe and free society. However, in the course of our heroic efforts we are readily exposed to the darker elements of our world, that as law enforcement officers we are unable to affect. We can not help but be moved by the suffering of our fellow citizens who live under unfortunate and difficult circumstances. Therefore, an important goal of Lodge 3F is to establish charitable aid programs to increase the well-being of humanity. So that our members can express their universal desire to aid those in need, not just as law enforcement officers, but as human beings. Current Lodge Programs
Each year in December, members of Lodge 3F collect toys at the V.A. Chicago Health Care System facilities located in Chicago IL. and Crown Point IN. for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Collected toys are distributed by U.S. Marines to needy children throughout the area. The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation motto is "Every child deserves a toy at Christmas" and we agree.
