Drum Tech, an innovative approach to percussion training, combines fundamental instruction and creativity.

Diverse Teaching Format

Designed to develop performing techniques for today's drumming, Drum Tech introduces students to all styles of music. Students attend clinics, receive video instruction, in addition to one on one and class instruction.

In a relaxed atmosphere students spend one hour weekly working together on rudiments, time playing, interpretation, soloing, and various drumming styles. Students are also introduced to the Trinity College of London (TCL) syllabus for percussionist. As students progress they are prepared for yearly examinations given at Towson State University by TCL.

Costs

The present cost of the Drum Tech program is $630.00 per music year. Payments can also be made per semester- $315, or monthly- $70.00. There is a *$25.00 registration fee. Drum Tech students may also attend the "Friday Night Jazz Class" open to all students enrolled at FSM Instructional.

* This fee is waived for students who pay by semester or yearly.

Schedule

Currently classes are held on Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Plans are on the way to add additional Drum Tech classes and develop a new Vibra- phone syllabus.
