Welcome to the Lincoln Hound Society

The Lincoln Hound Society (LHS) is a group of conscientious dog owners who are seeking to promote responsible dog ownership, community involvement and the formation of city sanctioned Dog Parks within the City of San Jose, California and surrounding areas.
We support Family Oriented, Neighborhood-Based, Free-Roam Dog Exercise areas for responsible dog owners. We do this through conscientious pet ownership-by-example, through outreach to other community groups and by partnership with city and county officials.
Currently at 327 members - and growing. We invite you to join us in our efforts.

Help Our Local Schools!
As you may know we have two current school crisis underway.
The tragic fire at Trace destroyed an entire building with damage estimates at $10,000,000 or more.
The less obvious crisis is the loss of $75,000 to the Lincoln High School Arts program for this fall.
They need to raise money to replace the loss by mid-August or they may lose the very program athat is at the heart of Lincoln High.
The Lincoln Hound Society is helping raise funds for both schools.
Please send any donatin you can to:
Lincoln Hound Society, 1418 Shasta Avenue, San Jose, CA 95126
Checks should be made out to Lincoln High School or trace School with the notation
"Paws Supporting Schools Fund"
The issue is urgent and the time to act is extremely short!
Thank you!

Ian Dunbaron on dog-friendly training - A Video on Ted.com
Veterinarian, dog trainer and animal behaviorist Ian Dunbar understands our pets' point of view. Speaking at the 2007 EG conference, trainer Ian Dunbar asks us to see the world through the eyes of our beloved dogs."By knowing our pets' perspective, we can build their love and trust." It's a message that resonates well beyond the animal world. To view an interesting and informative video presentation by Mr. Dunbar and comment on his insights, please go to:
