Norman Galaxy of Writers
was founded,
in 1969, as an affiliate of the Oklahoma Writers'
Federation Inc.
Norman Galaxy of Writers was formed to:
- Provide fellowship for writers of all interest and levels.
- Promote writing and literary interest in the Norman area.
- Encourage literary talent and creativity.
- Improve writing skills
- Educate members on the business side of the writing and publishing industry.
The Norman Galaxy meets on the first Saturday of every month at 10:00 A.M.
We also sponsor a Friday Morning writing class at 10:00 A.M. at the Norman
Senior Citizens Center.In addition to the meetings and the classes the
Norman Galaxy also participates in City Arts Week, and host autograph parties
for members with newly published books.
Members of the Norman Galaxy range
from amateur unpublished writers, and students, to self published writers, and
full time professionals.
