see solutions to the difficulties they had met. He helped them to
realize the Father's continual presence and the strength of His grace.
The opportunity for such a renewal of your spiritual life awaits you, too at St. Clare's Retreat in the Santa Cruz mountains. A weekend spent in silence at this Franciscan retreat house can help you reestablish your values, deepen your joys, and realize again God's loving providence. We provide this silent atmosphere for you. This retreat is conducted by the Franciscan Fathers and the Franciscan Missionary Sisters. Several conferences are scheduled throughout the day and time is available for individual counseling. Other exercises are held outdoors with ample time for private prayer and reading. Swimming, hiking, and other activities are possible during your weekend stay with us. St. Clare's facilities include a beautiful chapel, a library / lounge, and a large dining room. The chapel was just remodeled. Take a look at the pictures. Who Can Make A Retreat? You can. We traditionally specialize as a women's retreat house but we also offer other types of retreats; married couples, Secular Franciscan, men and women, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, AA-Alanon, and Legion of Mary. Members of all denominations are welcome. What Does it Cost? Suggested donation for weekend retreat is $115.00 for a private room and $105.00 for a shared room. If this fee is an obstacle, feel free to give what you can. If you can give more, the Sisters are most grateful. St. Clare's Retreat is a non-profit organization. How Do I Arrange A Retreat?
For Office Reservations or more information call 1-831-423-8093 or you may contact us via email at stclares@sbcglobal.net To confirm your reservation, mail a $10.00 non-refundable deposit, list the retreat date, your name, address, and phone number. One of the Sisters will send you a written confirmation of your reservation or tell you if the retreat is already full. |
