The Orientation / Eligibility Team's principle functions are to provide orientation services to prospective consumers and to review recently registered cases and applications in our office and determine whether (or not) each case meets VESID eligibility criteria. The team helps to streamline our district office eligibility process for new cases and allows new cases to be processed quickly and efficiently. By centralizing eligibility determination, case files are presented to district office counselors ready for vocational planning to begin. Our colleagues at the Center for Independence currently assist us with the Group Orientation process.
